Why A Pashmina Scarf Is So Special….

A Pashmina wrap is not your normal day kind of shawl you wear in downtown West Lothian

A pashmina (sometimes incorrectly spelt pashmena) is a shawl that can compliment whichever look you have chosen to go out with. In addition to this, the Pashmina scarf is a fashion accessory that can be worn or used by men and women from all age groups. By stating this, it is imperative that one notes this shawl turn worn outlook into a lively and trendy look.

One of the significant uses and advantages of the Pashmina scarf is that it is used to keep one warm. The pashmina shawl has been made of a material that easily encompasses the heat of one’s body.

The name Pashmina is as of a result of warm, soft and fine cashmere that has been used to weave the shawl.

Among its number of uses, the scarf can be tied to one’s handbag which will play a significant role in giving one a trendy look they look for. Of course traditionally the scarf is worn around the neck as a shawl. All one needs to ensure they look good when doing so do is combine it with a good pair of jeans or any dress.

For those that may not have an idea on what present to buy for their mothers, aunties, sisters or grandmothers for Christmas (or any other occasion), a pashmina scarf is a thoughtful present.

Those that are not familiar with their origin, the wrap from www.scarfandscarves.com are made in Thailand.

Caring for your pashmina shawls

Caring for one’s Pashmina wrap is vital as it will play a huge role in ensuring that your shawl is wearable for a long time.

Due to the materials that have been used to make it, you should ensure that it is:

  • washed separately from other colored clothes using hair shampoo in a lukewarm water;
  • avoid using harsh chemicals such as bleach;
  • allow the item to dry flat away from sunlight;
  • press the item with moist cloth or fabric; and
  • twisting the Pashmina shawl can ruin its shape, thus remove excess water after washing by gently squeezing it.

The Authenticity Of the Pashmina Scarf

Numerous people are buying fake Pashmina scarves of which they are duped that they are the quality merchandise they claim to be. Be very wary when ordering.

An original Pashmina shawl feels velvety to the touch, and the label on them should indicate that they have been made by 70% or more cashmere.

Pashmina wraps tend to be slightly more costly than one othershawls on the market.

West Lothian (Scots: Wast Lowden; Scottish Gaelic: Lodainn an Iar) is one of the 32 council areas of Scotland, and one of its historic counties. The county, which was also known as Linlithgowshire, was bounded by the Avon to the west and the Almond to the east. The modern council area occupies a smaller area, with areas in the west transferred to Falkirk and areas in the east transferred to Edinburgh following local government reforms in the late 20th century. It did however gain areas from Midlothian.

West Lothian lies on the southern shore of the Firth of Forth and is predominantly rural, though there were extensive coal, iron, and shale oil mining operations in the 18th and 19th centuries, which created distinctive red spoil heaps (locally known as “bings”) throughout the council area. The old county town was the royal burgh of Linlithgow, but the largest town (and the second largest town in Lothian after Edinburgh) is now Livingston.
