to Teddington

Teddington is an area of Greater London, England. Historically in Middlesex, it has been part of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames since 1965. Teddington is on the north bank of the Thames, just after the start of a long meander, between Hampton Wick and Strawberry Hill, Twickenham. Mostly residential, it stretches from the Thames to Bushy Park with a long high street reaching down to pubs, restaurants, leisure premises, fields and fitness clubs by the riverside, having a pedestrian suspension bridge over the lowest non-tidal lock on the Thames, Teddington Lock. Teddington’s centre is mid-rise urban development.

Teddington is bisected by an almost continuous road of shops, offices and other facilities running from the river to Bushy Park. There are two clusters of offices on this route; on the edge of Bushy Park the NPL, NMO and LGC form a scientific centre. Around Teddington Station and the town centre are a number of offices in industries such as direct marketing and IT, which include Tearfund and BMT Limited. Several riverside businesses and houses were redeveloped in the last quarter of the 20th century as blocks of riverside flats. As of 2016 the riverside site of the former Teddington Studios is being developed to provide modern apartment blocks and other smaller houses.[2]

Why A Cashmere Scarf Is So Special….

A Cashmere shawl is not your everyday kind of shawl you wear in downtown Teddington

A cashmere (sometimes wrongly spelt cashmire) scarf is something that can compliment whatever look you have chosen to go out with. In addition, a cashmere neckwear is an accessory that can be worn or used by men and women of all age groups.

One of the significant uses and advantages of the cashmere fashion accessory is that it is used to keep one warm. The cashmere neckwear has been made of a fabric that easily encompasses the heat of one’s body.

Among its numerous uses, the wrap can be tied to one’s handbag which will play a significant role in giving one a trendy look they look for. Of course traditionally the shawl is worn around the neck as a shawl. All one needs to ensure they look fantastic when doing so do is combine it with a good pair of jeans or any dress.

For those that may not have any clue on what present to buy for their mothers, aunties, sisters or grandmothers for on a festive occasion (or any other occasion), a cashmere wrap is a sensational gift.

Those that are not familiar with their origin, the wrap from www.scarfandscarves.com are made in Thailand.

Caring for your cashmere shawls

Caring for one’s cashmere wrap is recommended as it will play a huge role in ensuring that your scarf lasts for a long time.

Due to the materials that have been used to make it, you should ensure that it is:

  • washed separately from other coloured clothes using hair shampoo in a lukewarm water;
  • avoid using harsh chemicals such as bleach;
  • allow the item to dry flat away from sunlight;
  • press the item with moist cloth or fabric; and
  • twisting the cashmere shawl can ruin its shape, thus remove excess water after washing by gently squeezing it.

The Authenticity Of the Cashmere Shawl

A number of people are purchasing fake cashmere shawls of which they are duped that they are the legit merchandise they say to be. Be very diligent when ordering.

An original cashmere scarf feels velvety to the touch, and the label on them should indicate that they have been made by 70% or more cashmere.

Cashmere shawls tend to be a bit more costly than one othershawls on the market.
