Why A Pashmina Scarf Is So Special….

A Pashmina fashion accessory is not your regular day kind of shawl you wear in downtown Larne

A pashmina (sometimes mistakenly spelt pashmena) is a wrap that can compliment whatever look you have chosen to go out with. In addition to this, the Pashmina scarf is a fashion accessory that can be worn or used by men and women from all age groups. By stating this, it is imperative that one notes this shawl turn worn outlook into a lively and trendy look.

One of the significant uses and advantages of the Pashmina wrap is that it is used to keep one warm. The pashmina fashion accessory has been made of a material that easily encompasses the heat of one’s body.

The name Pashmina is as of a result of warm, soft and fine cashmere that has been used to weave the shawl.

Among its number of uses, the wrap can be tied to one’s handbag which will play a significant role in giving one a glamorous look they desire. Of course traditionally the scarf is tied around the neck as a shawl. All one needs to ensure they look great when doing so do is combine it with a good pair of jeans or any dress.

For those that may not have any clue on what present to buy for their mothers, aunties, sisters or grandmothers for Christmas (or any other occasion), a pashmina scarf is a thoughtful gift.

Those that are not familiar with their origin, the scarf from www.scarfandscarves.com are made in Thailand.

Caring for your pashmina shawls

Looking after one’s Pashmina scarf is important as it will play a huge role in ensuring that your shawl looks beautiful for a long time.

Due to the materials that have been used to make it, you should ensure that it is:

  • washed separately from other colored clothes using hair shampoo in a lukewarm water;
  • avoid using harsh chemicals such as bleach;
  • allow the item to dry flat away from sunlight;
  • press the item with moist cloth or fabric; and
  • twisting the Pashmina shawl can ruin its shape, thus remove excess water after washing by gently squeezing it.

The Authenticity Of the Pashmina Shawl

Many people are getting stuck with fake Pashmina scarves of which they are duped that they are the quality merchandise they say to be. Be very diligent when ordering.

An original Pashmina wrap feels velvety to the touch, and the label on them should indicate that they have been made by seventy percent or more cashmere.

Pashmina scarves tend to be slightly more expensive than one othershawls on the market.

Larne (from Irish: Latharna, the name of a Gaelic territory)[3][4][5] is a seaport and industrial market town, as well as a civil parish, on the east coast of County Antrim, Northern Ireland, with a population of 18,323 people in the 2008 Estimate. The Larne Local Government District had a population of 32,180 in 2011.[6] It has been used as a seaport for over 1,000 years, and is today a major passenger and freight roll-on roll-off port.[7] Larne is twinned with Clover, South Carolina, which has named one of its schools, Larne Elementary School,[8] after Larne. Larne is administered by Mid and East Antrim Borough Council. Together with the neighbouring district of Carrickfergus and part of Newtownabbey, it forms the East Antrim constituency for elections to the Westminster Parliament and Northern Ireland Assembly. The civil parish is situated in the historic barony of Glenarm Upper.[9]

The coastal area around Larne has been inhabited for millennia, and is thought to have been one of the earliest inhabited areas of Ireland, with these early human populations believed to have arrived from Scotland via the North Channel. The early coastal dwellers are thought to have had a sophisticated culture which involved trading between the shores of the North Channel and between other settlements on the coasts of Scotland. The coast of Scotland is in fact clearly visible from here. Archaeological digs in the area have found flintwork and other artefacts which have been assigned dates from 6000 BC onwards. The term Larnian has even been coined by archaeologists to describe such flintworks and similar artefacts of the Mesolithic era (and one time to describe Mesolithic culture in Ireland as a whole).[10][11][12] Larnian is also currently used to refer to people from Larne.
