Why A Pashmina Scarf Is So Special….

A Pashmina neckwear is not your regular day kind of shawl you wear in downtown Cookstown

A pashmina (sometimes wrongly spelt pashmena) is a fashion accessory that can compliment whichever look you have chosen to go out with. In addition to this, the Pashmina scarf is a fashion accessory that can be worn or used by men and women from all age groups. By stating this, it is imperative that one notes this shawl turn worn outlook into a lively and trendy look.

One of the significant uses and advantages of the Pashmina scarf is that it is used to keep one warm. The pashmina wrap has been made of a fabric that easily encompasses the heat of one’s body.

The name Pashmina is as of a result of warm, soft and fine cashmere that has been used to weave the wrap.

Among its numerous uses, the wrap can be tied to one’s handbag which will play a significant role in giving one a trend setting look they desire. Of course traditionally the shawl is tied around the neck as a scarf. All one needs to ensure they look great when doing so do is co-ordinate it with a good pair of jeans or any dress.

For those that may not have any thoughts on what present to buy for their mothers, aunties, sisters or grandmothers for Christmas (or any other occasion), a pashmina wrap is a great gift.

Those that are not familiar with their origin, the scarf from www.scarfandscarves.com are made in Thailand.

Caring for your pashmina shawl

Caring for one’s Pashmina scarf is important as it will play a huge role in ensuring that your scarf looks great for a long time.

Due to the materials that have been used to make it, you should ensure that it is:

  • washed separately from other colored clothes using hair shampoo in a lukewarm water;
  • avoid using damaging chemicals such as bleach;
  • allow the item to dry flat away from sunlight;
  • press the item with moist cloth or fabric; and
  • twisting the Pashmina shawl can ruin its shape, thus remove excess water after washing by gently squeezing it.

The Authenticity Of the Pashmina Wrap

Numerous people are purchasing fake Pashmina wraps of which they are duped that they are the quality merchandise they claim to be. Be very cautious when purchasing.

An original Pashmina scarf feels velvety to the touch, and the label on them should indicate that they have been made by seventy percent or more cashmere.

Pashmina scarves tend to be slightly more expensive than one otherwraps on the market.

Cookstown is a town and townland in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is the fourth largest town in the county and had a population of 22,838 in the 2011 Census]].[3] It is one of the main towns in the area of Mid-Ulster. It was founded around 1620 when the townlands in the area were leased by an English ecclesiastical lawyer, Dr. Alan Cooke, from the Archbishop of Armagh, who had been granted the lands after the Flight of the Earls during the Plantation of Ulster. It was one of the main centres of the linen industry West of the River Bann, and until 1956, the processes of flax spinning, weaving, bleaching and beetling were carried out in the town.

Cookstown’s famous main street (laid out from c1735–c1800), is 1.25 miles (2.01 km) long and 135 feet (41.15 m) wide, one of the longest, and widest in Ireland.[4]
