Why A Pashmina Scarf Is So Special….

A Pashmina neckwear is not your everyday kind of fashion accessory you wear in downtown Banbridge

A pashmina (sometimes mistakenly spelt pashmena) is a shawl that can compliment whichever look you have chosen to go out with. By stating this, it is imperative that one notes this shawl turn worn outlook into a lively and trendy look.

One of the significant uses and advantages of the Pashmina shawl is that it is used to keep one warm. The pashmina wrap has been made of a fabric that easily encompasses the heat of one’s body.

The name Pashmina is as of a result of warm, soft and fine cashmere that has been used to weave the scarf.

Among its numerous uses, the shawl can be tied to one’s handbag which will play a significant role in giving one a glamorous look they look for. Of course traditionally the wrap is tied around the neck as a shawl. All one needs to ensure they look good when doing so do is co-ordinate it with a good pair of jeans or any dress.

For those that may not have any clue on what present to buy for their mothers, aunties, sisters or grandmothers for Christmas (or any other occasion), a pashmina shawl is a great gift.

Caring for your pashmina scarf

Looking after one’s Pashmina scarf is important as it will play a huge role in ensuring that your wrap looks great for a long time.

Due to the materials that have been used to make it, you should ensure that it is:

  • washed separately from other colored clothes using hair shampoo in a lukewarm water;
  • avoid using damaging chemicals such as bleach;
  • allow the item to dry flat away from sunlight;
  • press the item with moist cloth or fabric; and
  • twisting the Pashmina shawl can ruin its shape, thus remove excess water after washing by gently squeezing it.

Numerous people are ordering fake Pashmina shawls of which they are duped that they are the legit merchandise they say to be. Be very cautious when ordering.

An original Pashmina shawl feels velvety to the touch, and the label on them should indicate that they have been made by 70% or more cashmere.

Banbridge (/bænˈbrɪdʒ/ ban-BRIJ)[2] is a town in County Down, Northern Ireland. It lies on the River Bann and the A1 road and is named after a bridge built over the River Bann in 1712. It is situated in the civil parish of Seapatrick and the historic barony of Iveagh Upper, Upper Half.[3] The town began as a coaching stop on the road from Belfast to Dublin and thrived from Irish linen manufacturing. The town is the headquarters for Banbridge District Council. It had a population of 16,653 people in the 2011 Census.[4]

The town’s main street is very unusual, and rises to a steep hill before levelling out. In 1834 an underpass was built as horses with heavy loads would faint before reaching the top of the hill. It was built by William Dargan and is officially named ‘Downshire Bridge’, though it is often called “The Cut”.
